Happy World Diabetes Day

It’s World Diabetes Day which marks the birthday of Sir Frederick Banting who was the co-discoverer of insulin, and it has been 100 years since he made this miraculous discovery. Since then there have been amazing developments in type 1 diabetes management and technology.  Although inequality of access still exists for these technologies in some areas, lots of work is being done within the NHS to address this.

Here is our new film with Isaac Coleman who plays for Bradford Bulls RLFC.  He tells his story of how he has been empowered to play high level rugby supported by his diabetes tech and his wonderful team.
